Customer Rating: Summary: Works great! Comment: I'm very happy with this product. The connections are snug and the headphone connectors that I've tried have fit perfectly for a constant stereo connection (i.e. no having to plug anything in halfway to get sound from both sides.)
My only complaint is a small one, but it has to do with the end that plugs into the blackjack II. Like the other reviewer said, it's a little too large and so the port cover gets in the way of plugging it all the way in. It will fit, though, but you have to turn the port cover 180 degrees, unlike other connectors, and then work it in carefully. It's really not a big deal, but does take a little more work to connect. Overall, however, the quality of the adapter is well worth this very minor inconvenience and I'd definitely recommend it to others.
Customer Rating: Summary: Exactly what I needed Comment: Personally, I don't think the Blackjack II gets enough credit as a really versatile smartphone. You can run a Nintendo emulator on it at excellent speeds (which is more than I can say for the iPhone), it's got a decent media player, and microSD slot allows you to add 8gb+ of memory for a very small price. One of the big downsides is the proprietary headphone jack, which means that if you want to listen to music, you're stuck buying $80 Samsung headphones, or spending serious money on a pair of bluetooth wireless headphones.
This adapter fixes that issue completely.
Pros:
Hassle-free. Just plug in your headphones to the 3.5mm jack, and plug the adapter into your Blackjack.
Great sound quality. I used a $15 pair of headphones that I picked up from Wal-Mart, so I didn't expect amazing audio, but they sounded just as good as they do when they're plugged into my computer.
Cons:
The Blackjack end of the plug is just a little bulky. After about three days of using this, I finally decided to just rip off that little shiny piece of plastic that had been covering the port- if you've got a BlackJack, you know what piece I'm talking about. It was already hanging off when I bought the adapter, so it was time for it to go...
If you want your Blackjack II to have all the functionality of a Gameboy, an iPod, a PDA, a phone, and a low-budget camera, this is the only piece you're missing.
