Comment: I just bought this (at Target) and I am very satisfied with it. I was a bit dubious but it did a really great job on wrapping paper. I look forward to trying it on other kinds of paper as well.

Comment: If you need to cut to a specific size, forget trying to do it with this thing! It is impossible to get it to cut on a mark, or a drawn line. And, just to get it to start on a normal piece of paper (such as what comes out of my printer), forget it....it just wrinkles the page, trying to cut...

Summary: Addicted to cutting paper now
Comment: I've used this paper cutter for two Christmas seasons now. I don't miss the years of jagged edges cut by scissors or being able to find a pair of scissors that hasn't been mucked up by God knows what! This makes wrapping mounds of presents an almost enjoyable task, it certainly makes it an easier one. I also found that they are good to use everywhere in the house from doing scrapbooking projects to cutting plastic wrap in the kitchen. I refuse to go back! The Scotch Paper Cutter also lasts a long time, I've used one for two years of wrapping and it is just now getting a bit dull.

Summary: Zips through more than just paper
Comment: This stores nicely in your pencil cup. It's more convenient than scissors. There are no moving parts. You just zip it. Since it is not a pair of scissors, your kid will not get the urge to grab it and take off running.
Accidental cuts are all but impossible. You can use it to slice open packages. In the kitchen, use it to open frozen food packages, ready-made salads, bags of nuts or snacks, whatever. It's a mighty handy gadget.

Comment: It's a great concept, but it's very difficult to get started. It always tears the paper first before it catches correctly and starts cutting. Not as good as the big knife my mother used to use. I think I'll get one of those instead.
