Excellent for loosening and turning soil, aerating lawn, moving hay, straw, leaves and twigs, manure and refuse. Fiberglass/ABS handle shaft won't splinter (no slivers!) or rot like hardwood with similar strength and flex.

Comment: Great fiberglass handle for working; but, I think I would have preferred the five fork pitchfork, (they do not have one with the fiberglass D handle) and a slightly thinner tine. I almost think it is better suited for tilling the flowerbeds than moving hay. But overall, good tool...
question is, how will it hold up over the years of weathering and use?

Summary: A VERY HANDSOME PITCHFORK!
Comment: This pitchfork is just as attractive as in its photo. The shaft is a canary yellow, the easy and comfortable grip handle is green, and the tines are tapered and an antique color.
I purchased this item to aerate my lawn because the Amazon reviews for an actual aerator were mostly lukewarm. I am glad I did so because it works perfectly. It is very sturdy and definitely a quality product.
