Summary: Suction problem
Comment: I like that this sippy cup has a soft spout and is BPA free. However, we seem to have a problem with the cup that is different from the other problems mentioned. When my son drinks from this sippy cup, the air vent doesn't seem to work properly, so that the silicon top kind of folds up, and the nipple points nearly horizontally instead of standing up vertically. It seems that when he drinks, it creates a vacuum. If I poke a pointed object in the air vent so that it opens, the cup refills with air and the nipple resumes normal position. I cannot do this after every suck my son takes on this cup. He really seems to like the handles and the thick nipple top, but he seems to get frustrated when he tries to drink from it. I wish it would work for us as I cannot seem to get him interested in any sippy cup.

Comment: I got these cups because we loved the version with the flip up straw but unfortunately those (with the straws) are not BPA free. The size and the placement of the handles is perfect for little hands and small arms. The spout is another story. Because it is soft my daughter simply pushes it into itself and the contents of the cup spills everywhere! If it had a hard top I think it would work better.

Summary: A great cup, but lid can be difficult
Comment: This is a good, sturdy sippy cup. I love the nipple since it's the same one used for their bottles. It really helps little ones learn how to control the flow. I would recommend this sippy over the new one that is out, Luv n Care. The handles on this one are attached to the lid, however that can make it difficult to put the lid on. We got 3 in the set, but only one of them had a lid that was difficult to put on correctly. The new Luv n Care cups have the handles attached to the bottom, but the handles come off either by pulling or when dropped and can break. If you're going to buy a Nuby sippy cup, buy this one.

Summary: Good cup for beginners
Comment: This is a great cup for beginners transitioning from a bottle. The spout is flexible like a bottle nipple and the flow is controlled by small slits that open while child is sucking, then close when the sucking stops. There is no separate valve to worry about! It does not leak unless the spout gets pinched, but no need to worry.. just use the lid that comes w/ it if you're going to throw it in a diaper bag.

Summary: Major Design Flaw!
Comment: I bought 2 Nuby sippy cups hoping that they would work and at least not leak. The fact that it was easy to suck the drink out was the only reason it got any stars at all. The lid and ring do not fit properly. The silicon nipple part gaps up under the ring and eventually pops out causing leakage. Pretty pointless if you ask me. I am very disappointed in this product as I had high hopes for it.
