2008 three CD set. Since the first releases of Caf‚ del Mar, where the Balearic spirit was reflected by music, millions of CDs have been sold worldwide and they continue to sell. The different compilations keep the memories of Caf‚ del Mar alive, for whom have visited it, becoming a kind of identity mark. In 2008 CDM Music celebrates 15 years of music, and for this occasion, this triple CD has been compiled (each CD encapsulates a five year period) containing a total of 42 songs. All the tracks are original and exclusive for this compilation, and you can find artists like Ludvig & Stelar, Dab, Rue Du Soleil, La Caina and many others. Ibiza Music.

Customer Rating: Summary: Music For All Ears Comment: The reviewers that are giving this album a hard time are harkening back to a generic chill genre that really was not distinctive from new age music of Windham Hill. Those days where Moby and the Thievery Corporation were the highlights of the sets. I applaud CDM for making one of the only outlets for exclusive quality Balearic and Iberian Electronic Music anywhere.
I admit I am new to Cafe Del Mar, but just looking at the tracklists of older volumes, I know that the series has improved dramatically. You can now only get CDM tracks on their compilations as they are exclusive. In the past, the tracks were not exclusive. 25th set onwards, are truly original CDM compilations. It was a landmark release and has only been getting better since. I have Vol. 13-15 as well as the 25th three disc set.
There are only few tracks in this compilation that make me scratch my head. There are awesome female and male vocals on this compilation as well as strong instrumental tracks. It is like if the 25th set was more polished and upbeat for that matter. Gary B sings as well as any male Trance, Progressive, or House singer out there and Nera actually sings a stomachable song, "Life Is A Wonder". Unlike the ultra kitch "Del Mar" on CDM 13, the mixing on the song is much better. The rest of the female vocalists are top notch in making you feel emotion, even if a few are not so talented. So, if one of the worst artists to ever be featured on CDM actually improves infinity on this compilation, that is really saying something. If that is not a test of quality on this compilation, I do not know what is.
The discs 1, 2, and 3 seem to get more chill, respectively. It is like a cool down from a hot night on the beach. Disc 1 is the most upbeat, Disc 2 is midtempo, and Disc 3 is downbeat. That is not to say that lower bpm is worse as "Nightwave In Ibiza", one of the most interesting tracks in the comp, has a broken beat structure.
There is much variety as always in CDM compilations and they are not trying to please any one group of listeners. There is something for everyone and the things that speak to your personal ear, do so poignantly. I personally like Disc 1 the most, but there are tracks on the other discs that speak to me strongly as well. [...]
Customer Rating: Summary: Cafe Del Mar 15 Comment: I own every single volume of Cafe Del Mar and I've always been a fan. I can't say how disappointed I am with this volume. Unlike what Cafe Del Mar has been known for - very distinctive music with original sounds, this volume has extremely generic music with absolutely nothing new to offer. The only two song worth listening to are a remix of Sun is Shining by United and Fly Away by Almadrava. Instead of choosing 15 excellent tracks, they went for quantity not quality with a total of 43 tracks on 3 CDs.
Customer Rating: Summary: Cool Stuff. A roll with the changes can be a good thing!! Comment: I have been collecting Cafe Del Mar series for years now. I have to say this record company knows how to do good things with what they have and stay ahead of the rest. Other companies licensed songs and put on many meaningless compilations. Cafe Del Mar went all original and thats great! Cafe del mar's putting the rhythm to the sun has been a lasting marketing concept but not just that also an art of compilation. It's as if after the hard work of music creation their is a process of suiting the music to be an ultimate chillout tested probably in the bar in Ibiza. Great Job! When I hear music from a Cafe Del Mar on Streming Radio for example it sounds out of place. I always have to pull out the CD and listen to it all! I love this set and the ones that came before it. Try Cafe Del Mar for a Chill! You might want to buy Cafe Del Mar seven with this to begin. it's a great start! This year has brought some of the best music. You might also want to try with this the import version of Hed Kandi Serve Chilled 79 with it's two girls laying around on the tennis court on the cover.
Customer Rating: Summary: cheesy elevator music Comment: I own every single CDM album and have found at least one or more tracks in each of them to love. However, CDM Volume 15 sounded like nothing more than cheesy elevator music, each and every track. No single track shines or displays anything at all distinctive.
However, what really takes the cake in this compilation is the worst one of them all: Sax 4 Sex. This track is so cheesy as to be better suited to serve as soundtrack to a pornography film.
Customer Rating: Summary: outstanding as always - simply great relaxing sound Comment: i always liked the sounds of cafe del mar... simply what i like for relaxation after work. my favourite album so far are - vol. nueve und drams vol.2
