Editorial Reviews:

Double CD set from Tiesto in 2008 with his album, In Search of Sunrise 7. On this outing Tiesto takes us to the Far East. ISOS 7 was completely mixed and recorded in Thailand. The first disc expresses the beauty of Asia, whereas the second one offers an energetic view on how trance goes down when it is played with an Asian flair. The track list reveals the genuine style of Tiƫsto put together in the In Search Of Sunrise 7 Asia. The concept driven DJ mix series I.S.O.S. looks to explore the unique sounds of a specific geographic region with past stops in Ibiza, Lation America and LA. Tiesto has spent over two decades in the electronic music world and he is recognized as the 'World's Number One DJ'. Many top artists call on Tiesto for his vision in remixing their tracks as he

Summary: One BEAUTIFUL sunrise!
Comment: It's been a very long time since I wrote a review on a Tiesto album, but I was so refreshed by this outing that I thought it best to chime in. Basically, I will be echoing the sentiments of other reviewers, so bear with the redundancy.

If this were an Armin Van Buuren album, you would be labeling CD1 "On the Beach" and CD2 "In the Club," for Tiesto follows that same route in ISOS, Vol. 7. CD1 is definitely a beautiful CD to chill out on...the first 5 tracks are classic chill, followed by 8 vocal/melodic tracks, and then ending with another short down-tempo track. I liked the gradual build up and I was really impressed with most of the vocal numbers (my absolute favorite being Airbase's "Denial"), but was a bit let down by the male vocals in track 13.

CD2 was definitely the better of the two, especially if you're a fan of high energy/melodic trance with a splash of progressive thrown in for good measure. I was going to list some standouts, but there are too many to mention. Let me just say that once track 5 kicks in you're in for quite a ride!

There are simply no fillers (on either CD) and this in itself is enough to commend this to any Tiesto fan (or to one who has never heard him, for that matter).

I must confess that I just listened to 3 other double CDs in the last few days..."Nightmusic: Volume 3," "Anjunabeats: Volume Six," and "A State of Trance: 2008," so I'm a bit spoiled. If I had to rate these four I'd give an upper hand to Armin's "A State of Trance" (it's his best in years!!), followed by a tie between "Nightmusic: Volume 3, and the "ISOS: Vol. 7." Anjunabeats was good, but it wasn't on the same level as their previous volumes and unlike the other 3 I found myself hitting the "skip" button too often on CD1. I would highly recommend them all though; in fact, these four artists can be counted on every year to gratify your senses by taking you to "audio Nirvana."

Summary: Amazing 2 disc set!!!
Comment: I bought a couple of Tiesto's In search of sunrise discs (disc 3 and 4) and I didn't really like them. I didn't think Tiesto was a great DJ. I decided to give him another try and bought Elements of Life and Loved it and I bought many of his other CD's after that. I then decided to give ISOS one more shot and I bought the Aisa disc set and I was blown away. This is truly an amazing work.
The first disc is slower with lost of vocal (which I love) and the second Disc is much more up beat and has an epic trance feel.
I would highly recommend this album to anyone that loves Tiesto!!

Summary: this is not trance nor electronic music
Comment: Badly mixed 2 cd's. This cd mix compilation is just awful. The tracks would sound better if they would not be mixed by Tiesto, who is rather a pop star than a dj these days

Summary: A good CD for autumn
Comment: Autumn is the time to come down and start to relax a little bit, after a summer with a lot of partys.

This CD ist good for some lovely background music while you and some friends are talking and drinking some red wine in the evening. Just relax and listen to the mix of Tiesto.

Summary: My 2 cents review who owns every ISOS Series...
Comment: Tiesto has been always famous for spinning trance discs, if you like his trancey stuff listen to his Magik series.
Personally ISOS series are my favorite Tiesto stuff. They are little more laid back, more like progressive trance.
I own 1 through 7. I STRONGLY agree with Matthew Woron's review! Matthew, you hit it right! On the nose! After listening to every ISOS discs, my all time favorite is #4 second disc! I used to listen to that for weeks and weeks in my car. Never get tired of it. ISOS 4 is my favorite so far, hands down. This #7 instantly became my second favorite. Definitely worth purchasing.

So my recommendation from best ISOS to going are: 4,7,6,3,5,2,1. Way to go Tiesto! ISOS are some of my favorite techno CDs I own! And I have hundreds of them!
