Customer Rating: Summary: No Problems, Easy Set Up Comment: Recently both my modem (Speedstream) and Router (Netgear) were acting suspicious (both are about 8 years old, I am going to fix them with a hammer) so I went out and purchased this dual modem/router combination. The set up took only minutes, I plugged in all the wires turned it on and answered 3 questions and was up and running. There were no issues and it couldn't have been easier. Its running both Macs and PCs without a hitch using the built in 4 ports
With the modem/router combo there is no ambiguity if there are problems on the provider side or if it's you. In my case, I believe my modem had quality control issues. I have two of the Speedstream modems and both have the same exact problems with a temperamental DSL port.
I love Netgear equipment but reviews of their modem/router combo were less than stellar. I was desperate and took a chance. so far I am happy with this purchase.
I can't live without internet
