Customer Rating: Summary: Bluetooth adapter-Globazar Comment: I received this unit and it did not work. I returned it to Globazaar, who SAID it was no problem, but three weeks later I still do not have a refund. Apparently this is one of those company's who does not refund money when their products do not work.
Customer Rating: Summary: Kenwood BT200/ Blackberry 8330 Curve Comment: I drive a superduty and needed bluetooth. I also own a Blackberry. I purchased a head unit solely for bluetooth and navigation; my choice was the Kenwood KVT719. I bought the BT100, hooked it up; no joy with Blackberry or the 719. Deployed, came back and bought the BT200. I just hooked it up. After pairing my 8330, all features were recognized by the phone, that the BT200 offered. The biggest thing was I was able to transfer my address book with no problems. Installation took 5 minutes - only two connections. Make sure you set the 3 pins switches on the BT200 to match your head unit. The microphone is "directed" so direct it at your mouth as much as possible; then you can talk normal and your peeps can hear you. Have fun...
Customer Rating: Summary: KCA BT200 Comment: I have a KVT512 and a KCA BT200 installed. I love the convenience of the BT200. But, Whenever I am in a call, the sound that comes out of the speakers is fine until the person on the other line speaks up a little and then you get a popping distortion sound. It sounds like the speaker is going to pop. I lower the volume on the KVT unit to see if it makes a difference and I can still hear the popping noise. Has anyone else experienced this issue. Is there a way to adjust the sound? The popping sounds like the same distortion you hear when you are recording audio and the incoming sound hits the redline on the recording meter.
Customer Rating: Summary: Good interface But needs work (unstable) Comment: I have this teamed up with my DNX 5120 also. I had really high hopes for this unit. It is usable, but does not always pair up with my phone, it locks up at times. I have to reboot, or turn unit off then back on. Hope that Kenwood is working on the problems. Sounds like others are have the same issues I am.
Customer Rating: Summary: Don't bother Comment: Don't Even bother with this unit if you want to pair it with a blackberry. Despite Kenwood's compatability chart saying it will work it will not stay connected. I spent 2+ weeks talking with Kenwood tech support, and I could not even get them to call me back when they said that they would. In fact I actually got 3 different stories from them. Fortunately, I was able to return this thing and get a different unit that I know will work with my phone.
