Customer Rating: Summary: Love that scent! Comment: Not only does this have the most intoxicating scent ever, but it does not strip the skin. This also works great as a shampoo, but be forewarned that you will be sniffing your hair all day and night. I am a soapmaker but despite all the soaps that I own, I make room in my shower to pamper myself with this shower gel. After I shower, the scent fills my bathroom for many hours after.
Customer Rating: Summary: Pretty Comment: This scent is fairly strong. I love it. It reminds me of going to the botanical gardens as a child. It is however too strong to me during pregnancy. I hear that it really does help with PMS from friends. This is most likely why it bothers me during pregnancy. It is also great as a shampoo. Just beware it really stays in your hair through out the night.
Customer Rating: Summary: Surprisingly Sexy - less floral than anticipated (in a good way) Comment: I bought this product when I was visiting the Portland LUSH store - the scent is very nice, and the floral elements are not flowery, but more musky. It leaves a gentle non-greasy moisturized feeling on my skin, and the scent lasts for hours. It's apparently a best-seller for them, and I am definitely ordering more.
As the other reviews mentioned, the scent is pretty strong, but as long as you like it, it's not an issue.
Customer Rating: Summary: Soothing and Sensuous Comment: The Flying Fox Shower Gel is the second shower gel I've tried from Lush and this one has a silky, sensuous, honey appeal. This really does contain honey and is also infused with Jasmine Flower Extract, Ylang Ylang, Cypress Oil, Palmarossa Oil, Angelica Polymorpha Sinensis Root and Arctium Lappa Root. That is one list of ingredients!
All I can tell you is that this blend of essential oils and plant extracts is especially soothing to the skin and the scent of jasmine makes this especially appealing. I noticed that unlike other shower gels and soaps I've tried, this didn't remove the moisture barrier and I ended up feeling like my skin was moisturized when I stepped out of the shower.
To extend the beautiful warm jasmine fragrance, you can use the luxuriously smooth and creamy Flying Fox Temple Balm as a perfume. It is heady! I love that you can experience the fragrance all night long by using the temple balm. I love the scent of Jasmine so this was a real find!
~The Rebecca Review
Customer Rating: Summary: The Flying Fox Comment: I like this potent scent, and I routinely use the other LUSH products that have it. Unfortunately, while I appreciated the fine texture and the jasmine-heavy scent of this shower gel, something in it made my skin turn red and irritated in large patches. I obviously had a reaction to one or more of the ingredients, and while this is certainly not going to be the case for everyone, this was the first allergic reaction I have ever had to a product (I use many LUSH products regularly and have done so for several years). I'm not even allergic to poison ivy, and this stuff did the trick. I don't recommend this for anyone with sensitive skin or a particularly sensitive nose.
