Comment: I bought this shower gel impulsively, and ended up loving it. The smell is unusual and delicious, and the hemp seed oil is a GREAT moisturizer. Just get the big bottle, you won't be sorry!

Summary: Great for chocolate lovers!
Comment: Sonic Death Monkey smells delicious. Not all chocolate, but there's also a hint of coffee. I think the coffee is what makes the shower gel smell a little different than just straight chocolate.
I'm not a chocolate lover (gasp!), so this wasn't my fave. It does a great job of leaving my skin clean but I do prefer LUSH's Happy Hippy because I love citrus smelling things.
Overall a good product, but I wouldn't buy it on my own. I would still use it if it was given to me, though.

Summary: Moisturizing -- Odd Smell
Comment: I purchased Sonic Death Monkey because I loved the name and anything that is chocolate. I still like the name, but I'm not so much on the smell. You can smell the chocolate, but you have to know that you are supposed to be smelling something chocolatey. It actually smelled like hemp to me. Other people that smelled it thought it smelled like the chocolate oranges that you smack on a table and the segments break apart.
I think this product is a lot like most other LUSH products. Nothing I've purchased from them really smells like the description. Most of the time I still really like the item. In this case, I did not care for the smell. As far as washing, I think it did a great job. It didn't dry my skin out at all.

Summary: Favorite bath gel for the choco-holic
Comment: This bath gel smells like chocolate-dipped orange peels and feels great. Nicer than soap in the shower and a real treat. You can even use it as shampoo, but I find that it dries the hair too much for me to do that too often.
This makes a really nice gift along with a box of chocolates and a bath loofa or brush. And a massage bar.

Comment: If you like those chocolate orange balls that you whack on the table to break apart, then this is your shower gel. It smells so incredibly edible! The scent is a rich chocolate mixed with sweet orange and a light touch of lime and coffee for good measure. The coffee and lime scents are barely detectable, just enough to enhance the whole product. Try this as a shampoo as well! The hemp oil really makes your hair feel wonderfully soft afterwards. Don't get the impression though that this will detangle knots or remove the need for a conditioner!
Unfortunately, like all the other Lush shower gels (with the exception of Flying Fox and Snow Fairy*) the scent does NOT last on the skin at all. The scent will however linger in the air for quite a while and also in the hair. I highly suggest using the gels as shampoo if you are looking for their scents to stick around.
* Snow Fairy was a Christmas product from last year that smelled like Candy Fluff powder. I'm hoping and praying for that to return again this year!
