Customer Rating: Summary: He likes it! Comment: It seems to be well made and durable. Have had it for about 2 months and my son still plays with it. He likes putting the tools in the tool box and on the belt.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great Toy Comment: My son turned 2 in November and got this for his BDAY. He loves it.
There are 25 different phrases. Some come from pushing his belt buckle, and some come from moving his thumb. It has really helped develop my sons vocabulary. He mimics everything that Manny says. They small toys fit easily into Manny's hand. Some of the toys fall off of Manny's belt, but not all of them do.
Customer Rating: Summary: Lost in Translation Comment: New to market is the Handy Manny 'action figure' featuring the 11" tall Manny, his 7 tools and toolbox. Manny talks when the tools are placed in his right hand and when his belt buckle is pressed. An On/Off switch is on his back by the 3-AAA battery compartment.

Hand phrases
1. Every tool has a special job to do.
2. That's the right tool for the right job.
3. That is the perfect tool for the job.
4. Great idea. Let's use that tool.
5. That tool is just right.
6. That's just the tool we need.
This Manny is pretty chatty. But in contrast to the books and DVDs, and beyond 'Hola' and 'Gracias', this Manny only speaks 2 sentences in Spanish among the over 25 phrases. My Spanish-speaking son quickly lost interest in playing with him. Twelve phrases - in both Spanish and English - would have better reflected the cultural identity of this Puerto Rican/Mexican character and been worth the cost.
Also, while durable, the tools are hard to place in his speaking-activated hand and do not stay attached to his belt during play.
This toy is a great idea that was poorly executed and is a language disappointment. Makes a great bookend, now.
Customer Rating: Summary: One problem.. Comment: This is a cute toy and my 2 year old son had been begging for it forever. It has cute features, and the tools can either go in the toolbox,in Manny's hand, or on his tool belt (my favorite!). The reason this didn't get 5 stars is because Squeeze (the pliers) constantly comes apart into 2 pieces and my son can't play with it. Other than that everything is great, but it is annoying that the pliers do not stay together.
Customer Rating: Summary: Best Toy for Handy Fan Comment: My son who is 2 1/2 picked this toy out and has loved it ever since. He does not leave the house without it. It goes everywhere with him. He pretends to fix things, loads and unloads the tool box, snaps the tools on the toolbelt. Hours of fun. Just got the full size toddler tool box and love that too. Great job Fisher Price!!!
