Ladybugs are beneficial insects that become a nuisance when they hibernate in homes. The Asian Ladybug Trap uses a special wavelength ultra-violet fluorescent light, as well as a pheromone lure, to attract indoor ladybugs. The ladybugs fall through the funnel and are trapped in the jar so you can safely dispose of them or release them outdoors.

Summary: Not as Pictured
Comment: The "special ultraviolet fluorescent light has been replace with a cheap, Chinese bicycle safety light with weakly flashing LED's. Don't buy it. Cost me $7 in return shipping and I was lucky the didn't hit me with the 15% re-stocking fee. This was not at Ace Hardware, though, they may have a better return policy. Don't waste your money.

Summary: Just didn't work indoors
Comment: I knew I was in trouble when the trap called for me to put it in a dark corner - my hundreds of ladybugs mob the windows and are utterly uninterested in visiting anyplace dark. They recommend closing curtains, but the ladybugs just go between the curtains and the window. In addition, the trap has a very strong, unpleasant (to this human, anyway) scent, so I didn't want it anywhere near me. Two days, a bad headache, and zero ladybugs later, it went in the trash. Unless you have vampire ladybugs and are yourself immune to the scent, I'd pass on this.
