Comment: This base (I bought the black base) rusted after a rainy night and rusted more after that. Also, I thought it would be heavy enough, but it lifted and fell over twice after some windy days. I should have bought a heavier base.

Comment: Not sturdy enough to reliably keep the umbrella up whether the umbrella is open or closed. In breezy weather we basically have to hold onto the umbrella while we're sitting out underneath it to prevent it from toppling over (umbrella is standard size). It is attractive, but that's obviously not as important as functionality.

Comment: This is an excellent umbrella stand. It weighs 45 lbs so by the time you get it the shipping box will probably be badly damaged but the iron stand will be intact.
I liked the stand so much that I bought a white one that was not on sale, so I had to pay more for it. Today was very windy and both stands stood their ground without any sign of tipping over with 9 ft umbrellas in them. The two stands will last me forever.

Comment: I live in Chicago and we get some wind here.... this umbrella stand held the umbrella nicely andwas decorative as well. The only reson I didn't give it 5 stars was because it has a tendancy to rust. Other than that, it's just great!

Comment: I have had these only a few weeks or so and they are starting to rust.
I feel they should be picked up and replaced with a similar product
from a more reliable manufacturer. I would appreciate a reply.
