Summary: Universal Gauge Isn't Universal
Comment: I purchased this item for the purpose of setting the tension of my 2002 Prius's serpentine belt. Much to my dismay I could not use this product because it would not accept the belt thickness of 3/16 (.188) inches. Its maximum belt thickness capability is about 1/16 (.062) inches. This is far from being universal. The tool manufacturer's literature included with the product did not specify the tool's measuring capability but did warn not to try to use it on any belt which would not fit into the tool's jaw.
Conclusion: Don't buy this item if the belt you are trying to tension is thicker than 1/16 inch.
