"Goldi" pacifier, in high demand by organic-conscious parents. Pure caoutchouc (rubber) is a sustainable raw material, produced from collected tree sap of the rubber tree (Hevea brasiliensis). After the tree sap (known as latex) is harvested, proteins are isolated and discarded, and the remaining pure rubber is dried and preserved. Since allergic reaction may be caused by the proteins present in latex, this process ensures that the resulting pure rubber is a non-allergenic material.
Its protective shield is soft and flat, allowing the muscles of the mouth and the lips to have freedom of movement and thus encouraging muscle activity and development. The shield is larger than conventional pacifier shields in order to prevent the baby from squeezing the flexible material enough to fit into its mouth. The shield will also not leave marks on the baby's face.
Three large ventilation apertures help prevent skin irritation caused by prolonged contact with saliva.
The nipple is soft and malleable. As a result, the tongue has plenty of room for movement. The manufacturer calls this pacifier 'orthodontic' because of the nipple's shape.
Since the pacifiers are molded in one piece, the nipple and the shield are connected securely, thus preventing the pacifier from falling apart. Also, there are no joints or cracks for bacteria to accumulate.
The grip ring is soft and comfortable for the baby during tummy time.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: Must be sterilized before first use by boiling for several minutes. To be washed carefully after every use under running water.

Summary: Almost 5 stars... one teeny, tiny flaw
Comment: This is wonderful pacifier. My baby LOVES it. Now that he is 11 months we only use it in the crib, but when he was younger this was by far his favorite pacifier. So worth the money.
The only little flaw is that it turns this weird brown color, which isn't a big deal but the edges also fray and peel a bit. Nothing that would be even remotely dangerous for the baby, just looks bad.
But with out much my baby loved this paci, there is not way that the minor flaws would deter us from using them.

Summary: great one-piece binky
Comment: i was tired of pacifiers that had a hollow center cavity that would fill with water while cleaning (or spit-up!!! gross)and take forever to dry. i live in a humid climate and they would get stinky and moldy quickly. this binky is made of one piece of plastic so its much easier to keep clean. the only down side - it smells like a condom. either the smell goes away or i'm used to it. but it is still the best binky.

Summary: Great next step after soothies
Comment: I bought this after my son outgrew the soothies pacifiers. He loved this pacifier as a teether, and before bedtime, after 6 mos. He outgrew pacifiers by about 8 months, but while he was still using pacifiers, and after he outgrew soothies. this was his favorite.
