Comment: I bought this cooktop four months ago on the recommendation of an appliance dealer in our area. I think he was trying to get rid of it, because they no longer carry Bertazzoni in their showroom. There are good points and bad points, but overall I'm not particularly happy with it. It looks great, and you can't beat the price. The middle double burner does a good job boiling water. The down sides are that it doesn't simmer at all, even on the smallest burner, and it gets amazingly dirty -- even when I'm just boiling liquids (probably because it won't simmer, and everything splatters). It's not easy to clean, either. Turning it on requires some finesse, and often requires more than one try. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this cooktop. There are much better options, but you'll likely have to spend more.
