Summary: Electric Heated Warming Throw Blanket
Comment: I purchased a Cranberry Red and a Denim Blue Warming Throws. The colors are great. The throws are larger than we thought they would be, which is fine. They keep us nice and warm. The only problem is the controls are too sensitive. The off and on switch needs a more positive action. We have to physically unplug the throws or we find out later they somehow came back on.

Summary: It worked okay for a season, but...
Comment: My two best friends and I each got one of these blankets for Christmas last year. Mine worked fine for a season, but I started to use it this season and it won't heat up no matter what I try.

My friend Kathy's throw is non-functional as well. Hers heated up higher than she'd set it (LOW) and didn't turn off when she turned the control off. She's no longer using her blanket, either.

Only one in three of these throws that I know of is working. I'm very disappointed. Generally, I've been really satisfied with Sunbeam products, but this throw's a klunker. Sad thing is--I found this out in January when it's COLD and most of the stores are out of similar products.

Summary: Sunbeam electric throw
Comment: I purchased this item on December 9th and by December 25th it did not function. The control froze in place and overheated so that I had to disconnect it. I complained to Sunbeam and if I send the whole blanket and control back to them at my expense they will evaluate the product. I object to having to pay shipping on their defective products.
I am now waiting for their reply to my shippiong complaint. Will not buy another Sunbeam product.

Summary: It works fine, but not real "comfy."
Comment: I purchased this from Costco @ $30. Mine works fine, all three settings, but my biggest critique is that the feel of the wires are VERY apparent. They are obviously sandwiched between two layers of the very popular soft, cuddly fleece. BUT, the soft fleece they use is quite "chintzy" so the wires are easily and distinctly felt, making the throw rather "stiff and crunchy" if you know what I mean. I guess at the $30 price level they had to lower the standards somewhere and they chose to do that by making the coverings very thin. And BTW, don't buy the "cranberry" color (which I didn't). We saw it as one of the color choices in the store and it is nowhere near the vibrant color on the box or in this ad. And, I'd swear they removed all the wires from the model's throw before taking those pictures as I don't think you could achieve all those soft folds they are depicting - lol! The cranberry color is quite milky and looks faded already. All the other colors are fine. Bottom line: size is right and it definitely works, it's just not soft and comfy overall - too stiff and the wires too obviously felt. And BTW, wattage is 180 W - kind of surprising since it's the same for my electric blanket; I would have assumed it'd be less for a much smaller throw, but it isn't.
