Offering a "we've been there, we know" sort of comfort to parents, folksy first-person articles let parents know they're not alone. A sense of community is expanded further in the "My Great Idea" section--culled from readers' letters--that suggests kid-tested ideas for everything from summer games to rainy-day projects. Homeschoolers will find plenty to ponder as well--a winter issue, for example, describes how a snowflake takes shape, then suggests a paper snowflake-making project. Reviews of digital games, books, videos, and DVDs, written by industry experts, help parents feel up to the minute. Comment: This magazine is so full of fun, it's name is true! If it doesn't make you want to sit down & be creative and play with your children, there is something wrong with you. I think it brings out the kid in everyone. I recommend it highly!

Comment: I love this magazine. The projects are easy to make and often are with things around the house or easy to get. Their customer service is great. Everyone is always friendly when I call. I actually get off the phone feeling happy talking with them. I live in Japan and have never missed an issue or had one late. (International orders have to be called in which is why I know they have great customer service.) I've already place another two year subscription. Your kids will love the activites. Mine does and she only three.
If you like the magazines you might want to by their line of books as well. Here's the only warning, the books contain the ideas of the older magazines with only a few originals. But if you want all the party or food ideas in one place, the books are the way to go instead of searching the magazines looking for that idea.
The magazines always have the freshest ideas, which can all be found on their website. If you've got elementary or tweens in your house I am sure you will love FamilyFun!

Summary: Full of affordable family games, activities and ideas
Comment: We've had our subscription for more than a year now and we find at least 2-3 activities or ideas in each issue. We have two boys, now ages 5 and 4, and we share this subcription with them. The summer and holiday issues are the best.
Unlike "Child" magazine, the majority of the products in this publication are affordable for middle-income families. We cancelled our subscription to Child magazine and later learned it went out of business.
Getting back to Family Fun, the magazine is affordable (less than $10 per year on Amazon) and a good value if you enjoy family activities.

Comment: This is the best mag if you have a family. The ideas are so amazing. They are very creative and not expensive. I have twin boys and I use it all the time. It makes a great gift.

Summary: Great magazine for moms and also for scout leaders
Comment: As a stay at home mom and the leader for my daughter's Brownie troop, this magazine is worth every cent. Tons of games and craft ideas that are super cheap and lots of fun. There isn't an article or idea that I skip. I have had a hard time with finding magazines that fit in my lifestyle lately. As much as I love some gossip and beauty ideas like every woman, my life is more geared towards raising my kids and having fun with them. I have found this magazine is great for all family life and it is something I can safely leave on the living room table. My 7yr old daughter flips thru for recipes and craft ideas too! The only other magazine that I love as much as this is All You. Highly recommend both for stay at home moms.
