Set in the near future, the Battlefield: Bad Company single-player campaign drops gamers behind enemy lines as part of a squad of four soldiers, risking it all to go AWOL on a personal quest. Featuring a dramatic storyline flavored with attitude, Battlefield: Bad Company leads you far from the traditional frontlines on a wild ride with a group of renegade soldiers who decide that sometimes the gratitude of a nation just isn't enough. The Battlefield: Bad Company cinematic single-player experience captures the freedom and intensity of the Battlefield series' multiplayer sandbox gameplay in a dynamic world where nearly everything is destructible. You have total freedom to be daring and innovative, adapting to and tackling challenges in unexpected Battlefield-style ways. Create sniping positions by blowing out a piece of a wall or drive your tank straight through a small house. The ever-changing battlefield forces you, your teammates, and enemies to react accordingly. The game also features the all-new, objective based multiplayer game mode Gold Rush, supporting 24 players online. Play as attackers and defenders and make full use of the tactical destruction as well as the unique vehicle experience of Battlefield: Bad Company. Battlefield: Bad Company is the first game built from the ground up for next-generation consoles using DICE's bleeding-edge Frostbite game engine, delivering unrivalled graphics, effects and gameplay.

Customer Rating: Summary: Easy does it, Dice Comment: Ok I understand that one of the main points of the game is destructibility, but when it goes as far as being able to demolish a strong wooden fence with your five inch dagger-blade, it gets a bit ridiculous. Also I have the ability to take down a tree with one bullet. I just think that they should make the destruction a little more believable. Otherwise, this game is perfect. Haggard and Sweetwater are quite entertaining and I chuckle at their wisecrack jokes. The weapons are realistic and they make the greatest reloading sound you'll ever hear. That's another thing, the sounds are amazing. Theoretically, after an explosion, I could say "I couldn't have said that explosion better." They have the initial explosion, then the rubble and dust falling to the ground, which makes you feel like you're in the game.
I forgot to mention something: the unlimited sprinting does give you a false sense of accomplishment when you escape a horde of enemies, as well as the syringe that you can heal yourself with at any time.
This game is exactly like call of duty 4, just less somber and serious. The multiplayer has the same concepts, having the +10 after every kill, giving you vivid memories of getting those ten points off of a kill.
In terms of kids between the ages of 13 and 15, parents, do not be alarmed at the fact that the characters carry guns. Your child will never see a drop of blood, nor is the game disturbing at any point. If you're reading this with your child, I'm sure he's giving you that look of hope as if I am his savior. I'll take the time to say your welcome to your son. Really, it's not that bad at all. Oh and I'm Pamela Mizrachi's son, not Pamela Mizrachi, just to clarify that.
Fantastic job, boys, keep the good games coming.
Customer Rating: Summary: Awesome! Comment: Single Player is ok, but the XBox Live multiplayer is so GREAT that it brings the game a solid 5 star rating! Hours and hours of tremendous fun!
Customer Rating: Summary: Okay shooter Comment: Single player review:
I really wanted to like this game more, but something about the gameplay didn't do it for me. Maybe it was having infinite medicine, or the fact that the enemy doesn't respawn with each continuation, or getting shot at out of nowhere constantly, or buildings all having the same floorplans, or all the environments looking too similar, or the graphics being just okay. The only cool things were the weapons and the destructable buildings, but that only goes so far. COD4 is still the best shooter out there.
Customer Rating: Summary: Good Overall Shooter Comment: Good, fun shooter but it seemed a little short. I think the graphics are good and the game play is well done. It is good if you want a shooter that has vehicles and has a squad. However, the guys in the squad cannot die which was a downside.
Customer Rating: Summary: I like me some Bad Company Comment: Battlefield 2 Modern Combat was ok, but didn't have that aura that bf2 of bf2142 had on the pc. So instead of rehashing the game DICE did something completely different and made a new bf game from the ground up. My oh my, they did a hell of a job.
First the technical stuff, the sound, awesome as always, never expect anything less from DICE. The graphics are superb, great detail, excellent light and shadow effects and fantastic landscapes. Battlefield has always been the sort of game to make you feel you're on a real warzone, but this is probably their best by far. The destructible environments are here and are quite impressive, you can't destroy a whole house into rubble, but if you could, be pretty unfair wouldn't it?
The singleplayer is good but nothing mind blowing. Still feels good to walk around and do whatever you like, reminded me of oblivion more than a couple of times. The multiplayer...come on, it's a battlefield game, do you really expect anything less than perfection? The game still maintains a nice balance, nobody is too strong or too weak and all serve their own job and purpose. The unlocks system is simple enough, you get a credit and you go buy a new toy with it (excuse me weapon :P). The dogtag collection from bf2142 is here as well and it's a lot of fun to go around and take out people who annoy you more than once. The destructible environments are a blast...literally. It's a nice little thing to add to the already popular battlefield gameplay.
So what are the flaws? Well, it's laggy, sometimes it's barely noticeable, and other times...yea, let's not go there. There's no squads or commanders in this bf game either (well you have squads but you're matched up randomly so it doesn't really help towards teamwork since some people are lone wolves and prefer to stay that way). You can only talk to people in your squad, if they talk back that is. Plus there's all the typical bugs and glitches that'll be patched up in due time, hopefully.
Overall, this is a great addition to the franchise and even greater addition to your collection. For a console shooter, doesn't get any better than this.
