The Memory Stick Micro (M2) is approximately one-third the size of the existing Memory Stick PRO Duo. The Memory Stick M2 continues the Memory Stick PRO Duo legacy by supporting full backwards compatibility using a mechanical adapter with all Memory Stick PRO hosts. In addition, an optional low-voltage interface addresses the 1.8V power supply requirements of the mobile handset market. The Memory Stick M2 offers host designers numerous advantages over the previous versions of the Memory Stick and Memory Stick PRO Duo. These advantages include easier and smaller host mechanical designs, support for low voltage 1.8V interface and longer host-system battery life. Similar to its Memory Stick PRO Duo predecessor, the Memory Stick M2 interface supports data transfer speeds of up to 20MB/sec.

Customer Rating: Summary: Works in K790a with minor problem Comment: Got this for my K790a. Just so you know, SanDisk part numbers are confusing. This part, at least when ordered from Amazon, gets you JUST the M2 Micro card, WITHOUT the ProDuo adapter that you may have seen in some pictures.
The card works perfectly in my K790a, with the minor exception that the Phone won't show more than 4 Gigs free on the card.
So, for the price of the phone and an 8 gig memory stick, I have a portable MP3 player with 8 gigs of storage, a 3.2 Megapixel camera with Xenon flash, and a cell phone. And people wonder why I don't own an Ipod.
Buy this, stick it in your computer, transfer all your MP3s to it, stick it in your cell phone, never worry about not having anything to listen to again.
Customer Rating: Summary: great price with fast shipping Comment: bought mine on amazon through progressive tech. paid 32.95 plus $6.95 express shipping. ordered it on Nov. 20th, got it on the 24th. Having never bought anything online before I didn't know what to expect as far as delays on shipping. for 4.95 I could have gotten regular shipping with average 2, to 3 week window. or for 2 dollars more got express with a 1 to 2 week window. So you can imaging my delight when i received my card in less than half that time, shipping from NY to Fla. through USPS First Class. I'm backing up my 2gb card now so I can tranfer it onto my 8gb card. I'm using it in my Sony Ericsson W580i. Now I have an 8gb Phone/Player with stereo blutooth headphones that rivals my IPod. Great buying experience. Thanks Amazon and Progressive Tech.
Customer Rating: Summary: Works w/ my phone Comment: This Memory Stick expanded my Sony W580 phone to 8GB making it an excellent alternative to an Ipod or Walkman.
Customer Rating: Summary: Slow/Inattentive service, but the product is great Comment: It took four weeks to get the item, even though I gave the company shipping/distributing it a heads-up a few days after I ordered that there was no indication of shippment at the USPS web-site. Two weeks later the owner wanted to charge me $6.00 for UPS ground; he finally agreed to send it UPS without additional charge. How slow was the delivery---I got something from e-bay regular USPS post 3 days after I ordered it. This San Disk M2 card came about 4 weeks after I ordered it! Finally got the item and I was pleasantly surprised to see that it came with an adapter. I popped the 8GB card into my new Sony Ericsson TM506 phone and it works like a charm! Great product--snail slow delivery!
Customer Rating: Summary: excellent choice for cell phone Comment: I use this M2 card in my cell phone (Sony-Ericsson C902). It works right the way when you put it in; no problem at all. Now I have plenty of room to put my music, videos and pictures. I recommend this card to people who use Sony-Ericsson phone.
