Summary: Don't by Cowon products...
Comment: I have been thoroughly disappointed with their products and lack of customer service. They average about 2-3 weeks to return an email for customer service issues. I finally got through to a representative and was advised to send the product back to them, at my own expense and they emailed back about 1 month later stating that there is no problem with the item. When I emailed back with a detailed description of the specific situation I encountered (item stopped powering on or charging through the USB port) they ceased communication. I still haven't heard back from them, but will never buy their products ever again. They are terrible both at manufacturing and caring for their customers.

Comment: I gave this a 4-star only because I agree that 14.99 seems a little steep. But really it's a great, functional case, and doesn't change the aesthetic of my pretty little Cowon iAudio 7 too much, which is a bonus! I'd advise being very careful putting the case on, as the tabs will not take rough treatment without breaking, but once it's on it's solid, and definitely eases my mind about the well-being of my $130.00 media device! :)

Summary: Satisfactory protection for a device worth protecting
Comment: I bought this case because I didn't want my brand new Cowon I7-08RD iAUDIO 7 Portable MP3 Player 8GB (Red) to get dinged or smudged during use. The case consists of two pieces which snap onto the iAudio 7 with a good, tight fit; however, I'm not sure that it's possible to remove the case without breaking it once it's on, so once it's on, it's on for good. It's made of a thin, clear plastic which feels cheap on its own (it's not on par with the Contour Design Showcase 4G iPod Case in terms of quality or perceived durability), but as long as it takes the hits instead of the iAudio, then it will serve its purpose. All of the controls, jacks, and the screen of the iAudio are easily accessible through well-placed cutouts in the case. Bottom line: it's about as simple and functional as you can get; I'd still prefer to see it sold for around $10 and not $15 on the basis of the materials, though.
