Customer Rating: Summary: Perfect for the Almost 6 year old Comment: Daughter saw it on the website before Christmas - it has been a big hit ever since Santa dropped it off.
Fortunately, it's not too bad for Mom & Dad as well - but it would be nice if we could muffle the overly loud slipper sound... I was on the phone when my child set it off and my friend said "Good Lord what was that sound? I couldn't hear anything but that - sounded like unicorns invading."
Yep. Unicorns invading.
But unicorns that make my daughter happy and don't make me want to pull my hair out.
Customer Rating: Summary: Cute game - simple, fast, & fun! Comment: I bought this for my daughter for her 6th birthday. She loves it! And it's a game parents won't mind playing as well. It's a simple game and doesn't take forever. I think this will be a favorite of ours for some time.
Customer Rating: Summary: Easy enough for two 4 year olds to play without Mom Comment: My daughter loves this game. She is able to play it with her friends without my help, which I love. The rules are simple enough for my four year old to remember without me having to review prior to playing the game. Even setting up the board is easy enough for her to do it on her own. Cute idea for a little girl.
Customer Rating: Summary: Can't rate yet, it's a Christmas gift Comment: I bought this for my 5 year old for Christmas this year based upon the reviews posted. I hope that she enjoys it. Will comment further later in the year.
Customer Rating: Summary: Fast and simple game for younger toddler/preschool ages Comment: I have a daughter that is nearly 3 years old and she loves this game. It plays quickly and the rules are very simple. She can count to six and she loves actually being able to do everything herself. Basically, you roll a die and move your princess that number of spaces. If you land on a card space, you then get that card. You try to collect all five cards. When your princess lands on the fairygodmother spaces, you get to push the glass slipper. If the bell tolls, you don't get to turn a card over. But, if it "enchants", you turn one of your cards over (the ragged clothes are then a beautiful gown, the mice are magically transformed into horses, the pumkin card becomes a carriage.. you get the idea). If you are the first to have all your cards enchanted, you win. This is easy enough for ages 2.5 and up. It's only mildly entertaining to my almost 7 year old. She wants to play once in awhile, but since it doesn't create a challenge for her at all, she easily gets distracted and bored with it. I'd say ages 2.5-6years is probably more accurate than the 4+ age on the box.
Overall, I think it's great. It's VERY hard to find games for the under 5 years category that aren't too simple or too complicated. This one is just right :)
