The rich blend of sweet almond oil, cocoa butter, and shea butter adds moisture and sheen while nourishing your hair. The scent is the icing on the cake. Jada Pinkett Smith partly attributes her long, beautiful hair to this longtime favorite.

Customer Rating: Summary: Above average performance Comment: Firstly, I'm black with relaxed shoulder length hair and this hair balm works well as a leave in conditioner to minimize frizz, add amazing shine and smooth the hair when drying the hair under a dome dryer (I don't know how well it would work by blow drying as I stopped using blow dryers). Secondly, I feel this balm helps seal in moisture as opposed to add moisture to dry hair. If I apply this on completely dry hair, it makes my hair feel more dry. However, if I add or mix this balm with a decent hair moisturizer it helps to maintain softness in my hair for a few hours. I'm still on the hunt for a super hydrating hair moisturizer. Anyway, I'm glad I have this product. Additionally, this product can be greasy if one applies too much. But even so, with my relatively thick hair, the greasiness feeling dissipates within an hour. Finally, I think this product would be too much for fine thin hair; but should be ok for someone with thick or coarse hair.
Customer Rating: Summary: Worked for me!!! Comment: This hair balm was not oily or greasy. It made my hair feel soft and shiny. It also had a pleasant scent that wasn't overwhelming like some of the other carol's daughter products.
Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent Hair Balm Comment: A friend recommended this hair balm to me and I haven't used a new hair product since. It not only moisturizes my hair really well, but I loooooooove the smell. It's got that sweet almond oil scent with a mix of some of the greatest natural scents. If I wasn't so concerned about the well-being of my hair, I'd used it as a body balm.
Customer Rating: Summary: Okay Comment: I have natural hair and this product( is not a moisturizer) it is for added sheen which it does. With all of the different ingredients cocoa butter, shea butter, sweet almond oil etc I expected it to do something extraordinary to my hair which it did not.
I gave this three stars because it did nothing for my hair but made it look shiny. twelve dollars for such a little bottle and all it does is make hair shiny is a whole bunch of money paid for nothing. I could have added some oil sheen if I was that desperate.
No doubt the added ingredients which look very well put together may have added some other benefit to my hair that I am not aware of but I have yet to notice it or see the results.
I loved the smell of it though. I have to say a lot of natural products have this smell I do not like (but they work) and I find something that does virtually nothing and it smells real good. lolol
Please do not use on wet hair it caused my hair to become brittle when I tried, but of course that is on the bottle.
On the upside when I do my twist and things I add afterwards and it does give it shine, but twelve dollars is a lot for some hair shine.
Customer Rating: Summary: I love it! Comment: I love this hair balm. It is very light weight. Plus, it makes my hair look shiny and healthy. A little bit goes a long way. If you use too much of course it will weigh down your hair. :)
