Add flavor and aroma to every meal using freshly ground spices and herbs via our red glass jar ceramic grinder. To fill the glass jar, invert the grinder and twist the glass jar to the right to loosen. Once filled, twist the glass jar to the left to refasten. It cuts sharper and stronger than a stainless steel grinder, and there is no center spindle which makes it easy to fit larger ingredients. Only the glass is dishwasher safe. The grinding mechanism is not dishwasher safe, and should only be wiped clean with a damp towel to clean.

Comment: The screw that tightens the whole assembly at the bottom is made of plastic.

Probably around the 5th or 6th time I picked it up to grind pepper, the whole ceramic grinding assembly literally fell out. I thought I'd figured out how to fix it - the fix lasted almost one minute. Tried to fix it a couple more times and finally gave up.
The following week bought basically the same product for about half the price at IKEA and couldn't be happier.
