This powerhouse all-in-one can transform your home office. You can print photos directly from compatible memory cards, previewing images in high resolution on the 2.5" TFT display. Or, print directly from your digital camera DV camcorder or camera phone. Copies of documents will be more faithful to your originals, and scans of photos and even thick notebooks will yield spectacular 4800 x 9600 color dpi results.

Customer Rating: Summary: smoking fast Comment: I'm amazed at the photo quality and speed at geting the job done. I replaced a lexmark 5400 with it. That thing was a real dinosaur. Not to mention an ink hog. The ink cartridges are actually reasonably priced in comparison. I wouldn't trade it for anything else.

Customer Rating: Summary: Good printer except for scanning with Macs Comment: I bought this printer just over a year ago and really liked it - until I bought a Mac. It will not scan, period. And, in perusing various Mac Forums, this seems to be a common problem. Of course, I bought a bunch of ink just before I discovered this flaw. I need the scan to work due to my small home business. So, if you have a Mac and don't care about scanning, it's a very nice printer. Otherwise, forget it. It looks like my daughter will have an early Christmas present! I'm trying to find a Canon printer that will scan and uses the same ink cartridges, which are expensive, but I'm afraid to try another Canon, just for this reason.
Customer Rating: Summary: Amazing All-In-One for the Home Office Comment: I use this Canon Pixma MP610 in my home office and have done so for about 6 months, I've found the device to be worth every penny I paid for it and more. It allows me to effortlessly copy, print, scan and it has many of the advanced setting of a printer double it's price. The good thing is these settings are automatically set, but can be tooled around with if the user desires to do so. I'm still on my original ink cartridges, with the exception of black which I just replaced, and have found the device pays for itself with its reliability and time-saving features. When compared to other devices which may or may not have these features, and usually end up breaking in about a year (see anything by HP or Lexmark) there is really no comparison.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great AIO Comment: The Canon MP610 is a solidly built machine. It performs all its functions very well and is easy to setup and install its software. I especially like the dual paper feeds. I have been using it for two months and have had no problems to date. However, I live in fear of the U150 error that I learned about just after buying the MP610.
Customer Rating: Summary: Canon Pixma MP610 Comment: Great printer! This is the best printer I have owned. It's fast and the picture quality is wonderful. The size of the printer is bigger then I thought it would be, but I don't mind. I use it mainly for printing photos and I haven't been disappointed yet. I have notoiced that the quality of the photos turn out better if you use the Easy Print EX software that comes with the Canon printer. I have both Kodax Easy Share and Olympus photo software on my computer. You can print from these programs, but I have found that the picture quality isn't near as good if you do. I also like the individual ink cartridges. When one color runs out you only have to replace the color you need instead of buying a new tri color cartridge.
