Summary: I've only owned it for a couple of weeks
Comment: After going crazy trying to find the right grind and brew coffee maker, I first tried the Cuisinart grind and brew. I found that one to make good coffee, and it kept the coffee hot for four hours on the hotplate, but it was such a hassle to clean.
Then I read about the burr grinder, and how people were saying that it gives more of a coffee shop flavor to fresh ground coffee. I read the reviews on the Capresso coffee maker which has the burr grinder, and even though it was very expensive, I went out and bought one. I was very dissatisfied with it. The coffee never really got hot after it was brewed, but then it would get even colder as it sat on the hotplate of the coffee maker. Eventually it would get jammed with coffee beans and the display wouldn't completely light up. It was one nightmare after another. I started doing more research and found this one with the burr grinder.
After reading the reviews, I noticed that most of them said that the coffee was a good cup of coffee and it was actually hot after being brewed. I looked at the price and really didn't want to pay more then $100 on another grind and brew coffee maker, so I vowed that this would be the last one. If this didn't work out for me, then I was going to just purchase a burr coffee grinder and a regular coffee maker and just make my coffee that way from now on.
So far this coffee maker has out done the Cuisinart and the Capresso in terms of making a great cup of coffee, and the clean up is just as easy as the Capresso coffee maker. All you have to do is clean out the part where you put the filter, and the coffee carafe. I did notice in some of the other reviews that coffee grinds drop on the counter when the chamber moves over the pot, right before it starts the brew cycle. This is correct, but there isn't enough of a mess to even complain about it. As for the reviews saying that there is coffee grinds left in the chamber from the last grind cycle, yes that is also true, but again it's not something that would have an effect on the whole pot of coffee.
What I am worried about is the reviews that have said that the grinder stops working after only using it for just a few months, now that concerns me and like I said in my title, I've only had this coffee maker for a couple of weeks, and so far I love it. I guess I will update this review if something happens, but for now, I am very satisfied with the cup of coffee that it produces and the easy clean up, and in my opinion, it out shines both the Cuisinart Grind and Brew and the Capresso Grind and Brew coffee makers so far.

Summary: Nice idea but...
Comment: Our original Cuisinart Grind and Brew finally bit the dust. We read all of the reviews and decided to try the Krups as a replacement. It is a really nice idea, the basket swings out for the coffee grounds to be funneled in, then swings back to brew, keeping all of the moisture out of the grinder (main problem with the old Cuisinart). Unfortunately the counter gets a spray of grounds as well. True, this isn't a big deal, not hard to clean up, but who needs more mess on their counter?

Summary: PERFECT COFFEEMAKER
Comment: I had never owned a grind & brew before, but this is a great little package. Simple to operate once you get the steps down- easy to follow directions. Brews the best cup of coffee- piping hot and great taste. I use for small quantities during the week and 5-10 pots for the homeless on Sundays...either way the quality is consistent. I HIGHLY recommend this coffeemaker!

Summary: Don't buy this coffee maker - it is poorly designed junk
Comment: I purchased a Krups KM7000 coffe maker and within the first 3 months the heater went out. It took an additional 3 month to get Krups to replace it as it couldn't be repaired. The new coffee maker they sent was difective as the clock didn't work. Another month and they sent a second replacement which was fine for 3 months and the heater went out. I am currently awaiting their evaluation and replacement.Krups KM7000 Grind-and-Brew 10-Cup Coffeemaker, Black

Summary: You cannot get fresher coffee than this!
Comment: I work in a bakery and run our coffee bar as well. I know how important a hot, fresh cup of java means to a coffee connoisseur. This is the best coffee maker I have gotten my hands on. Not only can one adjust the grind, the strength can be set too. Plus it can be programmed to grind and brew when ever you choose. The instructions are easy to follow and the bean compartment holds enough that the beans will stay fresh. I prefer regular, but if you have guests that drink decaf, the machine does not need to grind to brew, I have measured pre-ground beans and brewed as well.
