Customer Rating: Summary: SG Tool Aid 25300 delivers Comment: I ordered the sg 25300 as this was the least expensive and it was delivered within 4 days from the day I placed the order. After reading the instrucions, I was able to located my short within 20 minutes. Seems a wire running thru a hole in the engine mount gradually chafed the wire and impossible to see. After determining the location of the short I was able to tape the exposed wire. Van running in 5 minutes after that. The dealer wanted $88 to run a diagnostics and then another $150 for towing up there and back, if the van would not run. Big money saved.
This detector is better then the probes I have used. No holes to put in the wire and this was excellent in tracing one wire in a bundle. Now my next project is tracing a short for my rear brake light. The SG 25300 will be able to trace to the underlaying carpet and make my job a lot easier.
Definitely recommend this to anyone as it is simple and easy to use.
The only con is that I wish the plastic case would have been about a 1/4" bigger to put the items in. But overall, this detector gets 5 stars on delivery of product, pricing and usage.
