If you're like most people, you don't have an Ethernet jack right next to your television - or a hot tub in the living room for that matter. And while having both would be splendid, the SlingLink can at least resolve one of those dilemmas.The SlingLink TURBO brings network connectivity to any electrical wall outlet, making it ideal for the modern living room. With four switched ports, it connects your Slingbox, game console, DVR, computer or anything with an Ethernet jack. And it's compatible with any home router.Just plug one SlingLink TURBO into the wall near your router, and plug in the other SlingLink TURBO wherever you have your Slingbox installed, and voila! You're connected to the Internet. However, if you're into that post-Apocalyptic look, with wires hanging throughout your house, or if you'd enjoy the company of an expensive technician sent to re-wire your home, then the SlingLink is probably not right for you.

Summary: A few caveats
Comment: Firstoff, I would say this device does what it is supposed to. Having used several powerline products like this, I will say that this one performs about as well as competing units. That said, there are few caveats I would point out. First, you're only going to get acceptable throughput when both sides of the link are on the same household circuit. This is especially true with older homes who may have gone through electrical upgrades (like mine). Also, your throughput will suffer when you use other electrical devices on the circuit. For example, my video gets choppy whenever someone turns on/off the bathroom light which is adjacent to the bedroom where I have this unit located. For basic internet usage this is not a big deal, but if you're streaming video to a media center like I am, it is somewhat of an annoyance.

Summary: Works as advertised.
Comment: Works just like advertised. It took about 5 minutes to set up (the biggest challenge was finding a free electrical outlet near my computers/network devices.)
I haven't run an official speed test, but my connection on my second desktop computer (on a different floor in my home and presumably on a different electrical circuit) is much faster than the previous wireless G connection I was using.
Highly recommended.

Summary: works as promised
Comment: I bought the slingbox, forgetting that that my linksys was clear across the other side of the house. I bought this but really did not think it would work. I was very wrong. Set-up: about 5 minutes (that includes opening the box :)) I went to a friends house just to check the signal and the bridge and slingbox worked great!!! Well worth the money spent!!

Summary: Perfect for getting your XBOX 360 online
Comment: I can't believe that I finally found out about this. I have been putting off getting my 360 online through a wireless connection because I have heard that it can be slow and drop connections from time to time. If you don't want to put up with stuff like that, this is perfect for you.
Be warned, you still need a router so that you can share your internet connection with more than just your computer, but you can find one for 30 bucks and up to go with this (I found a four port unit that was wireless so that I could finally get my PSP online as well! Can you tell I'm new at this?).
This unit is around 20 dollars less than the 360's wireless adapter and it works perfectly. Fast, easy, perfect internet connection. I just wish I had known of these when I got my XBOX LAST YEAR.
If you have been putting off getting your 360 online like I was, wait no more! This thing is perfect for you. Now I can go back to getting my butt handed to me in Halo 3 by some teenage scum...

Summary: Poor Design for a Wireless Unit
Comment: While the idea of the Turbo Port is great it is limited by it's ability to control the Slingbox wirelessly. It must be connected on the same circuit as the slingbox, so if wireless router is not in your living room or on the same circuit then this will not help you live wirelessly
