In God of War, Kratos, after being deceived into killing his wife and daughter, denounced his service to Ares. In order to seek absolution from his past sins, the Ghost of Sparta pledged himself as a champion to the Gods for the years to follow. These brutal crusades, in the name of Olympus, became legendary throughout the ancient world. In God of War: Chains of Olympus, Kratos will journey to lands that no mortal has ever walked upon. With the world plunged in eternal darkness and the Gods rendered powerless, Kratos will face the most feared creatures of Greek Mythology, and ultimately be forced to choose between his own personal redemption and saving the ancient world from certain destruction. Developed from the outset as an original story, God of War: Chains of Olympus delivers highly detailed graphics, incredible animation detail and yet another adventure in the dark and brutal world of Greek mythology that fans of the God of War franchise have come to know and love. Critically-Acclaimed Franchise - Brought to you by Sony Computer Entertainment America and two award-winning development teams - Santa Monica Studios and Ready At Dawn Studios

Customer Rating: Summary: Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!! Comment: This is a must have game, the graphics are awesome, and keep you interested all the time.
Customer Rating: Summary: The must-have game for PSP Comment: I got this game with the God of War PSP pack, mostly because I wanted the newer PSP and it seemed like a nice perk to get a game with it. After having played it, I can honestly say that this game is probably the only PSP game that you NEED to own. As a fair warning for parents, it is rated "M" for a reason.
Having said that, the "M" rating is what makes the game so great for people like myself. There's nothing more satisfying than ripping the head off a Medusa and pounding your dagger into the eye of a cyclops. I've never played any God of War games before this one, but so far, I am hooked.
Some reviewers have said that it is too short, but for a PSP game, it seems long enough for me. There are some good plot points, but not enough to slow down the gameplay, which is a good thing in this case.
The graphics are amazing and the controls are well-executed. If I had to dock the game for anything, though, it would be that there are a lot of different button combos to keep track of, as is typical of any game in this category. However, if tearing apart bad guys brings a smile to your face, this is a game you need.
Customer Rating: Summary: I can't feel my fingers. That's normal, right? Comment: Being a relative newbie to gaming per se, I doubt I can offer a subjective analysis (sic) of the game. I can tell you that I'd ignored pretty much everything and everybody the last 2 weeks I spent in front of the console.
The game play is immersive, the environment rendered is stunning considering the console and the production values rival those of a feature length film. The game hooks you immediately thanks to couple of monsters than make some brilliant appearances; and yet manages to shock and awe at every turn.
The background score and great voice acting set this apart from every other third person shooter/slasher in the genre (I'm looking at you MGS). The physics engine is noteworthy but I'm fairly sure the inherent complexity and superior AI had a lot to do with the game being short.
At the end of the day, the game is rather epic in it's ambition and actually manages to resonate emotionally with the player. Well, at least this player.
Customer Rating: Summary: God of War on the small screen! Comment: Game rocks, may be a bit short but the challenges of the Gods extends gameplay for a long time. If you love God of War, you will love this handheld entry to the series. It is awesome.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great game! Comment: I got this in the entertainment pack (red) as a present and this was a great first game. Great music, graphics and fast exciting game play. As a first game for the psp 2000 i must say this spoiled me as i am comparing other games i am buying to this and so far this is still the best.
