It installs a button in Outlook and ACT that lets you scan directly into contact files. Summary: Neat Card Reader Solid ... After Tricky Set-up
Comment: Watch for which Operating System that you are using for the desktop or laptop as certain XP services packs and no Vista support is available (yet). The calibration can be tricky too as the scanner needs to be re-calibrated pretty often. I also understand that the Neat Receipts product does business card scanning too if you need a receipt scanner. Otherwise, I still LIKE THIS PRODUCT ALOT.

Comment: I've been using this product for about 3 months now and I am very pleased. Accuracy is up near 98%, even on cards with backgrounds that I fear will hamper recognition. The integration into Outlook is seamless. If you are seriously considering a Business card scanner, you will not be disappointed with this product.

Summary: Doesn't support Vista
Comment: Despite the system requirements section stating that this product is Vista compatible -- it is not. The software will not run in Vista which was confirmed by the company's tech support. Don't buy this if you're running vista.

Summary: Exceeded expectations
Comment: This business card scanner exceeded my expectations. Before I ordered it, I looked at some of the cards I get. The endless variety of card styles, colors, fonts, etc seem to make the idea of scanning a card, and extracting the data to be near impossible. Amazingly this scanner does a good job of getting most of the data correct. I get an average of probably 20-30 cards a week. This scanner saves me a lot of repetitive data entry that I really dread. Is it perfect? No. I check each scan for inaccuracies, but the few errors I get, are far easier to correct than entering the entire card by hand. If you enter a lot of business cards into a database, then get this scanner. Realize though that no scanner can pull all the information from a card without inaccuracies.

Comment: Great product, I researched a lot and this one seemed to be the best price with great recognition and organization software. Syncs with Plaxo too.
