This is a genuine Japanese made Hori-Hori knife, a knife designed and used to excavate potential Bonsai specimens in the rocky, high mountains of Japan. This is an indispensable gardening and bonsai tool that is great for cutting roots and for repotting projects. It's also an excellent all purpose sporting knife. A very heavy duty tool that has an overall length of 12. The blade is 6 x 1 5/8 wide and made out of Stainless Steel with a baked black enamel finish. It has a wide, lacquered wooden handle and comes with a leather sheath and leather belt loop. The blade is concave for scooping soil and has a serrated edge on one side. The back of the knife has measurement hash marks. This ia a very versatile tool. The blade is extremely sharp so use with the utmost care. Imported from Japan by joebonsai.
