Summary: 8800GTS
Comment: 320mb, 2 Dvi ports DX 10 ready, whats not to love its just a great card

Summary: Excellent Value!
Comment: Most video cards seem to be rated by their performance in Crysis. That is overkill and this adapter does everything well and at a great price: it generates relatively little heat, does not have a loud fan and its 320 bit spec places it alongside the best-performing video adapters.

Summary: Am I Missing Something
Comment: Yeah, I bought this card a year ago, and its already outdated, but according to everone else, this card "blows everything out of the water." That may be true for some games, but for others its a downright lie! Is it just my computer? Maybe I am missing out on some critical thing, like a Core 2 Quad processor. Nevermind, here is a compiled list of some games and the detail and frames you can achieve.
By the way, 1280x1024 is my maximum resolution

--2004--
Unreal Tournament 2004: 1280x1240, ultra high detail, 4x AA - no lag
Battle for Middle Earth: 1280x1240, ultra high detail, 8x AA - no lag
--2005--
Titan Quest: 1280x1240, maximum detail 2x AA - very minor lag
Never Winter Nights 2: 1152x864, high detail, shadows disabled - no lag
Guild Wars: 1280x1240, maximum detail, 8x AA - no lag
--2006--
Elder Scolls 4: Oblivion: 1280x960, high detail, HDR on, shadows off - moderate lag (particularly in cities)
During battle - high lag
Battle for Middle Earth 2: 1280x960, ultra high detail - minor lag
Dark Messiah: 1280x1024, maximum detail 4x AA - no lag
--2007--
World in Conflict: 1024x768, ultra high detail, no shadows - minor lag
Unreal Tournament 3: 1024x768, low detail, HDR off - minor lag

Yes, it does produce results but they are not the results that I hoped for.

Summary: Owns and cheap..., enough said
Comment: I had to upgrade to a new rig really badly, almost all the games coming out I could not play and there were a few titles that I really wanted to get my hands on, so, when income tax came around, I wanted to build a new one, but, on a budget. This card did what I wanted it to do and, more importantly, didn't cost my eternal soul to get it. I did wait a little bit to get this card because I new that Nvidia was about to release their 9800 series graphics cards making the previous series drop down in price. Amazon always has the cheap prices on good quality products, so, I wasn't surprised when I did my search on the internet stores and found that I would be buying this product through amazon. The graphics card came with a collection of bundled products that I had order previously and were all in good quality shape, the 8800GTS box wasn't even remotely damaged and was really secure. Like most products I've gotten from Amazon, this one came a day earlier than expected, again, a praise on the fast shipping of Amazon's part.

As far as comparing this card to my previous, their isn't one, this card ran circles around it, even games, I THOUGHT, played well on my old 6800S (FEAR, FarCry, Condemned) played so smoothly with this one that I had motion sickness for about two days, only one game has done that to me and that was URU. The Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion plays with all the eye candy on and at the highest resolutions possible without any lag or stuttering even when you are riding at full speed on the fastest horse through the dense thick forests of Cyrodil. BioShock, a recent game I purchased, ran at its fullest strength as well and went ever so smoothly (and looked better than the XBox 360 Version). So far, this card has played ever game I've thrown at it save for one..., and yes, that is Crysis, the Single Player Demo, but, it doesn't look poor, you can still play it with decent frame-rates above 40FPS mostly with high detail on, some AA on and at 1280x800. You can play full res and no AA if thats your thing, I did.

I think the best part about this, is that, this card is so cheap that you could, theoretically, get two and SLI them together, which, is something I will do maybe if a game comes along that I really like and can't play as it was meant to be played (which, I don't see that happening really soon). But by itself, the EVGA e-GeForce 8800GTS 320 MB PCIe Video Card will own any game that you throw at it and doesn't get burned doing so. Another good product for a budget build.
