Summary: Does NOT work with SCH-U740
Comment: Even multiple re-installs and work-arounds would not make this cable/software bundle work with my brand-new Samsung SCH-u740. I never could achieve a connection between my computer and my phone.

Summary: Works well enough; Not the OEM piece.
Comment: I gave my original USB cable to a friend who had similar phone, and I had to get a new one. I thought this was the OEM one, but that's my mistake. The cable is a little bulky/sturdy, but does the job. The OEM piece has a quality feel and isn't as bulky. This cable works just like it should, without any problems.And at the price, there's no reason to not get it if you need one! I prefer OEM. No regrets on this though.

Comment: The software would not work (I have Windows XP), which is a problem I encounter frequently with products. It seems that manufacturers spend all their time on the hardware, and none on the software. But, once I downloaded a USB driver from elsewhere, the hardware (cable) worked just fine.

Comment: I've only used this cable once, so far, but it seems to work fine, and I don't anticipate any problems, any time soon. It was less expensive than Verizon Wireless's audio accessories package.

Summary: Waste of Money, luckily not much.
Comment: I purchased this cable to transfer data to my cell phone. Verizon wireless charges $30 for theirs, so I thought I would save a little money. The cable that they sent connects to the phone, but doesn't work with the vcast software or samsung software. The only way that it works is with some basic, third party software that is recommended by the company. It doesn't organize playlists or work with existing systems in the phone. It's no more than an ftp client for the storage card. That wouldn't be too bad, but the data tranfer rate is about as fast as a serial cable. It took over 10 minutes to add one song onto my phone. The company has refused to give me my money back or send another cable, so I'll probably just toss the cable and pay full price for a real one. I'll remember not to buy anything from this company.
