It offers a great solution for long plane flights, hikes - any time you want to extend your music and video playtime. A foldout kickstand positions the Zune at the perfect viewing angle. Belkin Components includes an AC wall charger that works for both your Zune and the TunePower simultaneously. The rechargeable battery is cheaper to maintain and is better for the environment. TunePower also features a protective-case design to prevent damage to the connector from dirt, dust, or impact.

Summary: An accessory that's worth it
Comment: Finally an MP3 accessory that's not overpriced junk.
I sometimes forget to charge my Zune 30GB and this battery pack is perfect for that. Although its a bit clunky in size, it charges fairly quickly and I like the stand attached. This is perfect for long trips when you don't have an AC plug available.
Unfortunately Belkin discontinued this model. Its disappointing because as travel has become longer in the world the internal batteries in our devices aren't meant for a long haul. And devices like this one are perfect. Hopefully Belkin (or another company) chooses to produce a battery extender similar to this one.

Comment: I used this product when I was on a trip and never had any problems with running out of battery before the end of a movie, whereas the internal would run out in about an hour and a half. If you are a person on the go it is the right item to have in your bag.

Summary: Good product, but discontinued.
Comment: This product, and the companion one developed for iPods, are great ideas that can help you survive a long period without AC power. Unfortunately, this product was developed before the Zune 80 came out, and does not fit that model. And Belkin has apparently decided to discontinue the product for the Zune. You won't find it on their website, and I got this response from their customer service.

Summary: Real piece of garbage!!!!!!!!!!
Comment: What a piece of garbage. I have a ZUNE 80gb and it does NOT fit.
I think this MIGHT fit some older units but it clearly does not fit any current ones.
Get out your dremmel kit and start cutting new slots. With some new slots and more padding it may yet work, but like I said... what a piece of garbage.

Summary: the outer plastic doesn't fit zune 80
Comment: the connector on the zune is not in the middle as belkin expected but rather more to the top of the unit, so it doesn't line up at all.
i'm hoping belkin own up to their mistake and ship a proper plastic outer casing.
even with this deficiency i'm keeping it, because its easy to pop off to connect it. it's also the nicest unit out there for those long trips watching those battery draining tv shows and movies.
