Summary: It performs as advertised!
Comment: We love this deep fryer, I bought this one because it had more power to keep it hot, more capacity to keep it hot. And it does a wonderful job. I love being able to store the oil so simply, I did have an overflow mess once but it was because the oil was a little warm. Just wait till it is cool and everything works great. A little common sense takes the blame off the manufacturer most of the time. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a fryer after weeks of research and reading reviews I feel that you get what you pay for here.

Summary: Excellent product
Comment: Having used this deep fryer for several weeks now I can attest to the validity of the other positive reviews. And, no overflow spillage, which I think some others in their reviews mentioned, and was strictly a mistake made on their part by overfilling with oil. The catch container for the oil is really a nifty idea, no more transferring oil after using to a seperate container. Clean, efficient and easy.

Summary: This fryer was not my cup of tea.
Comment: My old fryer quit on me after two years and I decided this one sounded like my cup of tea. I did read the reviews, but I thought they would have made modifications to the oil leak problem. Well, apparently they had not. The first night I used the fryer, it leaked, and I thought, maybe I didn't have the levers in the right position. Nope, that wasn't it. The next three times I used it, I was glad that I placed a large cookie sheet lined with papertowels under the fryer because it leaked oil each and every time. What a mess! I'm returning the fryer for a refund and I'm going to buy the exact same fryer that quit on me two years. After all, I would rather have a fryer that works for 2 years then not at all. Emeril, you should be ashamed of yourself for putting your name on this T-Fal fryer, it's a piece of junk.

Comment: The fryer itself worked very well (but no better than the Waring Pro) but, even though I was very careful about proper assembly (due to a review I had read cautioning this), when I used the built in oil drain and store feature, it leaked a lot of oil (over a cup). I had received the fryer in the afternoon, used it that night and it was in the box and at the shipping center for return by mid morning. A definite "don't buy". I gave this one star because the form wouldn't let me leave it at zero.

Summary: Great for Southern fried stuff
Comment: I received this Emerial fryer from my daughter & son-in-law for Christmas. Three months later I have successfully fried Shrimp, Fish, Oysters, Chicken, Steak, French Fries. I love the easy clean-up and reuse of the oil. From south Louisiana where we love our fried food - It's fantastic!!
