Lovera's Homemade Olive Salad conisists of green olives, black olives, artichoke hearts, a wide variety of pickled vegetables like carrots, celery, peppers, garlic (of course), pimentos, onions, eggplant, and mushrooms in seasoned olive oil. It is fantastic on a sandwich with salame, ham and cheese, or as a topping for pizza. This is what makes a muffaletta sandwich, a muffaletta sandwich! It has a good shelf life; that is, if it should happen to last long enough! I guess you could say that it has a shelf life equal to the length of time it takes someone to discover it in the fridge! But don't take our word for it, order some today!

Comment: No other substitute works like this product- not even the homemade salad I made from a New Orleans cookbook. Ample enough for a large loaf, the taste was light but distinctive.
