Summary: good for what it is
Comment: i got this mic to do room measurements using room analysis software. apparently you really should use a true omni for these types of measurements. this mic is a true omni. it is also pretty flat (again crucial for room analysis). and the price is right.
you could use this mic for other applications but you should know its very noisy.
if you don't have any true omnis this may be a cheap way to get introduced to them.

Comment: This mike was not in stock at most stores so I was in doubt of receiving it, but the store delivered. It is rugged and the quality is superb for the price. I used it to align my system and was amazed with the improvements in sound quality.
