Summary: EMERGENCY FEEDER
Comment: This feeder is used only when we know the weather will keep us from going outside and filling other feeders. When it's cold - the latches freeze. Squirrels love it! Only bigger seeds can be used in it (sunflower, safflower, etc:)and when it isn't completely full, it tends to collapse and the rest of the seed spills. Fortunately, it is easy to store. I would not buy this feeder again.

Comment: My husband had this on his wish list and based on the other reviews I almost didn't order it for him. Others said birds couldn't get seeds out and didn't use the feeder. We have lots of birds using this feeder at all times and I once counted 10 birds on it at the same time. Some cling to the wires and others sit on the perch to eat. The top has kept the snow and rain off of it and it holds a ton of seeds at one time (not filling it as much). Also the squirels have yet to destroy it unlike many other feeders we have had. I would definately buy this one again.

Summary: Sorry I bought it!
Comment: I ordered this feeder specifically for Cardinals because the one I had for them didn't have a top to keep rain out, and the squirrels ate most of the food. This new one sat for over a month without any birds going to it. Eventually, I did see a couple of Cardinals on it, but they didn't stay long and haven't been back. Squirrels can't get at the food, but they might as well since the birds can't either.

Summary: Great Bird Feeder!
Comment: Wrote another review for same bird feeder, seems this item is listed twice on Amazon. Anyway, the birds really love it. I feed them sunflower hearts, sometimes mixed in with Nyger seeds - you should see them flock to this feeder! This is the most visited feeder I have. Have not seen any cardinals on this feeder, maybe too busy for them? Will buy a couple more of these feeders. Highly recommend it.

Comment: Great feeder! The birds LOVE it. It's the most visited bird feeder I have. The mesh size is just fine for sunflower HEARTS. The birds just flock to it - except cardinals. Go figure! Maybe too busy for them? Guess I need a few more. All in all, a great feeder, and I highly recommend it.
