Summary: Have an Oball! Nothing else like it!
Comment: This is a unique ball! This is for all ages. Since there are so many openings even a baby can hold it. It is soft enough that it doesn't hurt if a little one doesn't catch it. One way to play with it, is to roll it across a table to your child & listen (it makes a fun little tapping sound but don't worry it isn't loud enough to bother anyone). I even let my children play with it inside the house. Since it is such a different kind of ball even I like to play catch with my children. It is a fun gift to give. This ball is even made in a larger version and also a football verison. I love toys that are easy to clean & sanitize (dishwasher safe, you can't get any easier). Such a durable item!
It is fun to give this ball at a baby shower.
Today our youngest (7 months old) had the Oball when his older brother wanted it (he'll be 2 yrs. in a 2 months) he couldn't wait quietly for his turn. I will be purchasing a 2nd one =)
With limited space in our home, I'm particular about what my children play with. This is a must have.
I wish I knew about this O-ball when my youngest was little.

Summary: Best first toy for baby!
Comment: This was the first toy in which my son showed interest. Around 2-3 months, he began playing with it when I offered it. It's so easy for those awkward little fingers to grasp, and he even enjoyed holding it with his toes. I tethered it to his baby carrier on those plastic-ring links (which easily connect to the ball's openings) and he would pass it hand-to-hand for long periods and try to chew it. My sister's and best friend's sons also used this as their first toy, and share my rave reviews!

Summary: Great Toy, Great Fun
Comment: The 4" Oball is such a simple concept but yet so much fun. The interlocking design of plastic forms a ball which when compressed easily succumbs to the slightest pressure. When released the ball bounces back to its form nearly instantly and without fail. The ball seems well constructed and so far I see no reason to worry it will fall apart. The plastic is rugged yet flexible.
My three kids all love this toy. I bought the big Oball first and loved it so much I ordered the 4" version. If anything I like the smaller version better as it is more able to be handled by my smallest child. It is a fun toy that has one benefit I didn't even consider. My middle child (age 4) loves it because it makes it easier for her to catch when tossed back and forth. This is an activity that frustrates her with harder balls.
Great fun, great design, great construction. A definite buy.

Summary: Useful in classrooms, too!
Comment: This was purchased as a tool for the classroom! It is great for review time or whatever when you want to get all students involved AND best of all it is so light and easy to "catch" that the students can't "hurt one another"! One of the best classroom devices, I've "stumbled upon"!!!!!
With a background in child deveopment, I can imagine the FUN "little ones" would have with this while "learning" colors, shapes, dimension" perception, as well as rolling, catching,etc. Would find this useful with children of many ages and SAFE!!!!!

Summary: My infants favorite toy
Comment: In an elementary school the "o-ball' is used in a physical education setting. It is perfect for little hands that don't have the coordination to 2-hand catch a ball yet. So their little fingers can grasp it from any angle. Then when it is thrown there isn't enough surface area for the ball to get to any damaging speeds. It can flex, bend, fold, and can bounce.
So.. seeing the kids love the "o-ball" at 5 years old, I thought I would get one for my now infant to use when she is older. But one day daddy saw her starting to learn her grasp reflex and he wanted to see if she could hold anything yet, so he handed her the "o-ball" and sure enough at 2 months she was holding it. Now at 4 months she can pick it up from beside her, can chew on it, (it is child safe according to the instructions), 2-hand grab it, and it has great colors for her to stare at. It is a GREAT toy.
