Summary: If you want your kids in diapers for life, get this seat!
Comment: I initially gave the 3-in-1 potty a single star because it is poorly made. The rough-cut plastic hurts my son's bottom and the bowl is too small even for my skinny kiddo. Hence the original rating of 1-star.
However, I contacted the company and told them about the way it hurt my child and they replaced it with another first years product. That was great customer service, so I added a star to the product review.

We have had the most ridiculous time with this seat. First, our nephew had his bottom pinched like, similarly to the previous reviewer's experience. Then we took the bowl away and placed the potty seat on the toilet. On it, our son scraped his bottom on the sharp edge that remains when the bowl is removed. In addition, the seat was not stable when it was on the toilet, so my son felt very insecure.

Summary: OUCH!!! Beware.
Comment: I recently purchased this potty chair for my son who wanted a potty (amazing, huh?). He chose it from the store because of Elmo, and I liked it because it looked sturdy. He used it 5 times within the first 2 days. I set him down for his 6th try, and the green plastic cup slid, pinching his rear end in 3 places!!!! His bottom looked like he had 3 bright red, puffy bee stings. I felt horrible. He was screaming in pain. He now has 3 sores on his rear. I wouldn't buy any chair with this design again. I ended up purchasing the Bjorn Potty chair BABYBJÖRN Potty Chair - White and it very well made. I highly recommend it.
