Specifically designed for coastline adventures, Keen's rugged and comfortable Venice H2 Sandals feature a fast-drying (waterproof) polyester webbing upper that's lighter than the leather upper found on Keen's Men's Venice Sandal. Everything else about the design is the same. Inside the polyester webbing is a moisture-wicking Aegis Microbe-Shield SBR lining that (unless you missed the sizing) doesn't usually scrape or chafe the top of your foot after wading through a pond or along a seashore. Keen's Venice H2 Sandals are fully washable and feature Keen's patented toe bumper up front. The non-marking carbon rubber outsole is excellent for guys who want to wear the same footwear throughout the day--even if that's on polished hardwood floors back at home.

Comment: I just love these shoes. I wore them nearly everyday for 18 months. They went from the beach to snow back to the beach and even worked for me during hurricane cleanup in southern Texas. The only reason I got rid of them is that they were trashed from all the debris and infested with mold and God only knows what else. But I did order 3 new pairs just to have some back ups available.
The only drawback is that the closed toe cap (which I like because it protects my toes from damage) does tend to collect sand and the like when not worn on hard surfaces. But hey, we wash our feet off at the beach anyway to keep the sand out of the vehicle so its no big deal.

Comment: The shoes are comfortable, but the closed toe area collects rocks and sand when not wearing on hard or grassy surfaces. I should have known better.

Summary: Better than Chaco's for Wide Feet
Comment: Got wide feet? I do. I can't wear a lot of fancier men's dress shoes because they are too narrow near the toes. I went to a store yesterday to try on some Chacos and found even their wide sizes to be too narrow for my feet. I kept stepping on the strap when I walked around in them. I had never heard of Keens before but once I tried these on I loved them. They are much more comfortable for me than the Chacos and even moreso than my old Tevas. Plus, Keens are made in half sizes, unlike some Chacos and Tevas. Apparently, people usually love Keens or Chacos. I'm strongly in the Keen camp after trying both on. Super comfortable, a pleasure to walk in and they breathe well in hot weather.

Comment: These were purchased for a male friend and he loves them. Put them on when they arrived & wore them the whole day with no complaints. He has had them on almost every day since, said they are the best sandals he has had, he likes them better than the Merrills he had last year.

Comment: Great shoe...have two pair and wear them in cold or hot weather. Dirty..put in the washing machine and they come out looking brand new.
