Customer Rating: Summary: my 4 yr old loves this Comment: We saw this in the gift shop of our local science museum and just gave it to 4 yr old daughter as a birthday gift. She's loving it! The two levels are perfect for her age. Level 1 shows how the shapes fit into the bigger picture. Level 2 either tests memory or creativity. Great puzzle.
Customer Rating: Summary: Educational and Entertaining Comment: My five year old daughter likes to take this toy with her while riding in the car. It keeps her busy and I know she's exercising those brain muscles at the same time. Great Product!
Customer Rating: Summary: We like it Comment: My son is almost 3.
He likes this game. MUCH easier and less frustrating than puzzles with interlocking pieces. (Which he can't really do.)
He needs help opening the drawer where the magnets are kept. Then he can do everything himself, but likes to be near someone for a little help.
Sometimes he needs help holding pieces steady while he adds new ones -- he gets confused when he bumps them out of place -- like, how did that happen?
I don't worry about pieces getting lost -- since he can't open the drawer without me, he can't get into them without me knowing, and is in the habit of being made to put the pieces away when he is done.
I think he will like it more and more as he gets older! Good for a kid who likes puzzles, but isn't that good at them, and not that good at keeping up with puzzle pieces. A kid who is in-between real puzzles and little kid puzzles.
Customer Rating: Summary: perfect car travel game, kids as young as 3 love it Comment: I was skeptical about this gift, thinking it might be too advanced for my three-year old, but she absolutely loves it, and so do all her friends. The simple side shows you the exact shape for each piece (white lines drawn on the picture show you how to assemble the tangram), so it's not too difficult for a young one to figure out where things go, and when you flip it over it's a classic tangram puzzle that you have to figure out yourself (unless you conveniently remember the positioning from the other side... so your child will either be learning spacial manipulation or memorization or both). The pieces are sturdy and the magnets are strong, so they stick to the board even when two or three cards are layered on top. She also loves it when she plays her game and I get out my own tangram set.
Customer Rating: Summary: Educational toy my 3 yo enjoys and her friends' Mommies want Comment: My daugther really enjoys this toy and at 3 yo the Level 1 she can do on her own, as well as work on some of the Level 2 cards (which are simply a harder version--without outlines--of the same shapes as on Level 1) with a little help.
The toy is easy to carry with the little grey handle at the top, the cards store inside the hard case, and is great for taking to restaurants, grandma's, friends' homes, car play, etc. My little one was also very excited to show it off to her grandparents the other day. The hardest things about this toy is keeping the big people's hands off it so she can "do it herself"!
Highly recommend!
