Comment: well made, however it is far too light weight and did not come with any real edge; understandable, it is a splitting ax. for something this light though, it should have been sharp. overall it is a quality product just not on the scale of anything more than a pack ax

Comment: I bought a Fiskar axe and sharpener. I've used the axe before and decided to get one of my own. It stays sharp through alot of wood especially fat lighter. Great product.

Comment: I got the 28" splitting axe and liked it so much I got the 28" chopper. At that time I got the Fiskars sharpener and let me tell you that after a few passes I got both axes to shave hairs off of my forearm. These cost a little more than the regular axes but if you take pride in your tools and like functional beauty they are well worth it. To those that say that the handle still breaks well you can break just about anything if you mis-use it. I hear the warranty is pretty good.
