Comment: The Genuine G.I. Mechanics Tool Bag is made from durable heavyweight 1000 denier nylon fabric. The heavy duty zipper is made from real brass rather than cheap plastic that can break.
Here's a tip on brass zippers. If you apply a little polishing wax or silicone wax lubricant, it will not only give it a protective finish. It will also lubricate it so that the zipper will slide open and close more easily.
There is a front side pocket with two snap fasteners.
The bottom of the bag has a rigid board support so that the bag will not sag from the weight of tools. Inside are side pockets to insert small items. The bag handles are flexible nylon webbing.
The former mechanics tool bag used to be made of heavy weight cotton canvas. But that material was not as puncture, abrasion or mildew resistant as cordura nylon.
You can still buy cheaper cotton canvas mechanics tool bags but they are not as long lasting as cordura nylon.
The bag size is 11" long x 7" high x 6" wide.
It's a really useful and durable tool bag.
