Summary: Good for men, not so good for women.
Comment: My husband loves this mitt. It is perfect for his large hands, it insulates well, and we love the magnet. Although he loves it, I cannot use it. I have long fingers but the silicone still makes it too stiff to grab things other than cookie sheets/ I unfortunatly do not use it at all but my husband has used it for almost everything.

Comment: These are amazing oven mitts. I have a super heavy Le Creuset pan that I can carry from the oven without feeling the heat at all. I love the maget in them too as they are very convenient to hang on the fridge. I highly recommend these!

Summary: Very surprised by how small
Comment: OXO generally makes great stuff and I have plenty of it. I thankfully read some comments here about the size and decided to walk 3 blocks to my nearest Bed and Bath to see for myself. At 5'11" and 170 lbs I do not consider myself to be that large but do have pretty big hands for my size. These things were tiny. Didn't fit at all. Maybe they are the greatest gloves in the world but only if you have small hands. I went with the Calphalon mitts and am rather content with them.

i attend a boarding school, and i cook dinner about four nights a week, so i have used the product alot. in my experiances i haven't had any major problems with it, the only thing that i would change about this product is to try and make is a bit more flexible. Other than that the heat resistance is great, and it has relitively good grip.

Comment: This mitt features sturdy construction, good looks and good insulation.
A notable drawback is that its stiffness makes gripping awkward. I could live with that because I have two of them and usually use them to handle hot things with two hands. Other people might be more bothered.
The thing I particularly liked about this mitt was the magnet. I would toss them against the fridge when done and they'd stay. However, the magnets are on the weak side and the fabric over them has gotten kind of "polished" over the course of six months. With less friction to keep them from moving, the mitts now slide right down the fridge or stove to the floor.
I could still hang my mitts on a hook, but the magnets should have been strong enough so that this nice feature would last for the life of the product instead of only a matter of months. In the end, that's what tipped the balance for me to make the mitt an overall disappointment and a poor value for the price.
