Comment: I have this system and also bought two other sets for family members and gave them out for Christmas Gifts and evryone has had only good things too say. The ease of using this system and convenience is what makes it a great product. Being a singer for a long time and having a professional karaoke system already I think this is the perfect product for home use.The only knock that I have is that the tracks do not feature any backround vocals at all otherwise I would have given it a 5 star rating.

Comment: I was so excited to get this microphone only to find out that all of the music is POLYPHONIC!!! The background music sounds like bad elevator music instead of the original background music. If you just want to tinker with karaoke this is the microphone for you. if you want to really sing, don't waste your money!!!

Summary: Similar to the Asian market Karaoke Mics
Comment: I was looking for a long time a good karaoke mic to purchase. Looked at all the popular asian brands like the famous Entertech. I saw a demo of the ed8000 and it's features.
I stumbled upon this mic in a warehouse store that packaged it with the main mic, wireless sub mic, total of 1700+ songs, & a recording pack that records about 1.5 minutes of your voice with the music. Actually this is also a product made in asia (Korea) but the only one I've seen packaged for the US retail market. The other asian mics you can only get through foreign specialty stores or online.
All in all I think it is very comparable to the name brand asian mics. Comparing to the ed8000, which is one of the best on the market, the sound is very close & the features also. The ed8000 does have additional features like stream-in video, but I knew I would probably never use this feature since the setup alone would take too much time and trouble. It also has a USB connector which I also don't need. I just want to plug it in and sing.
The leadsinger mic was by far the best value for the money. It was only $20 more than the entertech ed8000 mic which was only for 1 wired mic. My package came with 1 wired mic and 1 wireless sub mic. The wire mic uses an included AC adapter so no battery's needed for that one. The wireless mic uses only 2 AA batteries. The wireless can control everything the main mic can and it sound very good for a wireless. The songs are a good mix with many familiar favorites.
To ensure best sound quality this must be plugged into an amplifier to provide a full rich sound. Don't think about using it off the TV speakers cause it will sound terrible. A good feature on this mic is the ability to adjust both the mic volume or the music volume independently so you can balance it out until you get the best output ratio of music to voice.
Entertech recently came out with the all wireless model going for about $400 for 1 mic, and $500 for 2. With my setup, I turn on the main mic, then use my wireless mic much like the 1 mic setup for $400 for the entertech, and I've got all the other extra's, for $100 less.
Excellent product for the next American Idol contestant.

Comment: I have been looking around for a good karaoke player for awhile for the whole family and though this unit was a bit pricey it was exactly what I was looking for. No bulky machine or black and white screen. Good sound quality, great song selection and so easy to use that my 7 yr old can set it up and change songs by herself after 5 minutes.
The built in songs come with a wide selection from standards to classic rock, to teen pop to even kids songs and christmas carols. So Dad can groove to the Moody Blues, first daughter to Britney Spears and youngest to the Eensy Weensy Spider. Lots of themed expansion packs available, though they also are a bit expensive as well.
Extremely portable for taking to parties and (so far) sturdy constructions that should stand up to being dropped by kids or overzealous adults at parties. The scoring feature is also fun.
Although the song versions get the traditional karaoke treatment (i.e. - not exactly what you hear on the radio, rather a 'rendition'), the quality is generally very good. There are a few songs where the music does not capture the essence of the original version exactly, but those seem to be few so far.
The background graphics are a bit repetitive, but not bad.
I'm very happy with the purchase and recommend it highly for karaoke enthusiasts.
