Through a traditional Indian method, the butter is cooked until the water and milk solids are removed. The result is 'traditional' Ghee - a rich, golden, semi-soft spread for the best in cooking, baking, or sautéing. The taste - superb!

Comment: "ghee" is one of those words most folks fear. it just sounds a little too "unknown", a little too "healthy" ... my mother had been trying to convince me of the benefits of ghee for years, but i wasn't willing to try it. finally, when my toddler was having problems digesting and processing food, it was suggested that i use ghee in place of butter for all my cooking. i decided to give it a try, without telling my family (which includes a finicky teenager!). i added ghee to chicken, veggies and potatoes, and i was amazed when they not only complimented the meal --they wanted seconds! they couldn't figure out what i had done differently, but they really enjoyed it. we use ghee for all our cooking now, and i know it's a better choice than traditional butter.
