Comment: Mistral soaps are long-lasting, great-smelling (but not overpowering), and really moisturizing. And one of the few grapefruit-scented soaps out there.

Summary: Mistral Almond Milk Soap - Tres Fantastique!
Comment: Mistral's Almond Milk soap is positively divine. As decadent as Dior. As delicious as a dessert. I am a big fan of L'Occitane's Almond line - I am completely addicted to their Almond Firming Lotion. What I love about Mistral's Almond Milk soap though, is that the scent lingers throughout the day. It is not strong or perfumy, but tender and natural smelling.
The little bits of exfoliant added to the bar are great too. They don't scratch the skin or feel too gritty, no nasty residue on the bottom of your tub.
This soap does not leave a greasy feeling. It lathers nicely and cleans very well. It is so soft it can even be used on your face.
If you like the scent of Almond, I highly recommend this.

Mistral, as many know, is a powerful, gusty wind that blows across the south of France. Mistral, as I was happy to discover, is also the name of a line of bath and body products, all French inspired, all lusciously lovely from scented soaps to soothing lotions to rejuvenating body butters.
Matthew Tilker, founder and president of Mistral, utilizes Shea butter, which is an efficacious natural healer, in a myriad of must-have forms. Derived from the nuts of the African Shea Tree (according to sacred custom the nuts are harvested primarily by women), this butter is highly emollient, a boon for those with dry skin, chapped lips, any number of skin irritations.
The pure Shea Butter soap comes in a plethora of inviting fragrances, all milled six times (while others boast being triple milled). South Seas is a particular favorite - it's as fresh as an ocean breeze and as calming, soothing as a tropical island. The marine scent is accented with a touch of grapefruit, white flowers and soft woods. An irresistible combination.
South Seas is a fragrance with which you wish to surround yourself - made possible by the shower gel, body lotion, massage bath and body oil, bath salts and candle all available at very accessible prices.

Comment: This is my favorite soap in the world. A new bar will scent my bathroom for weeks, and the scent lingers on my skin as well. The soap is gentle and long-lasting. I recommend it highly.

Comment: I'm an admitted soap snob so I've probably tried just about every soap there is. Mistral soap is right up there with the best.
First of all I have to mention the customer service. I had bought another brand of soap that came in a very pleasing scent combo that Mistral didn't offer. I emailed Mistral's customer service asking them to consider making it. I got a reply right away and after a few email exchanges was told they would see what could be done. I like that--being responsive to the customer.
What do I like about the soap? For one thing, the size. It's huge at 7 oz. I also like the scents offered: Very pleasing combinations that stay on the skin in a subtle way once you rinse and dry. Best of all is how it lathers up on the skin and once rinsed off leaves no residue. It does leave the skin soft.
