Summary: VERY SHARP!
Comment: It's the one and only knife for making an Israeli style fresh vegetables salad. This knife produces a really microscopic dice of two cucumbers, one red or yellow pepper and one tomato: repeat as many times as necessary! Also,have a few band-aids ready: trust me, you will need them!

Comment: This is a great knife all around. Very sharp, great price and I like the weight. Many may think the more expensive, heavier weight equals value, but I think you could not do better. I will definitely buy more.

Comment: This popped up when I was ordering a Chef's knife in the Victorinox line, as one of those 'others who purchased that knife also purchased this item...' For the price, I figured 'what have I got to lose -- and I won't have to pay shipping!' Next time I need to make a purchase thru Amazon, I'll buy several more -- to keep as spares and to give as gifts. Be careful, though -- it's very sharp!!

Comment: This is an awesome knife, I also bought the larger Santoku blade so this is a great extra. Its best for things like tomatoes, citrus, or anything that isnt needing a larger knife. The serrated blade is extremeley sharp and will cut through anything without tearing!

Summary: Excellent knife - watch out for the tip!
Comment: I bought this knife to use as a slicing knife for soft things like tomatoes and kiwis. It works great and can also used for slicing carrots, potatoes, celery, citrus, etc. The cutting edge extends part way around the tip of the knife, so be careful as this baby is very sharp and it's easy to cut yourself because of the shape of the blade. I managed to slice two parallel cuts in a finger getting it out of the !#@%&! clamshell package! It's lightweight, well balanced, the handle is textured and non-slip, and the edge is wavy, not serrated, so it makes smooth cuts. It's a great little utility knife.
