Summary: Buy a better plane
Comment: The plane was so poorly packaged it arrived with a broken body. The second one arrived a few weeks later and I must say the quality leaves a lot to be desired. I spent hours of labor to flatten the sole and as suspected also had to hone the blade. This is probably the lowest quality plane I own of the 12 in my shop. Spend more money and buy a better plane.
